SinoTech Group has been appointed by Qatar Airways to coordinate the airline’s digital marketing promotions across China. SinoTech Group will focus on extending the airline’s brand influence, driving its online bookings and promoting various Qatar Airways’ destinations from the airline’s network points across China. The Doha-based carrier has expanded rapidly in China over the past five years and now operates 23 flights a week from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong to its hub in the State of Qatar, linking to nearly 90 destinations across Asia, Middle East, Africa, Europe and North America. Qatar Airways Country Manager Greater China Woo Yew Seong said of SinoTech Group’s appointment: “We are pleased to appoint SinoTech Group, a leader in digital marketing for the travel and hospitality industry, as our digital marketing provider and the airline is excited about the potential of this partnership. “We are committed to the Chinese market have taken a strategic decision to invest a greater proportion of our marketing resources into the digital spectrum,” Woo said. Dr Mathew McDougall, group CEO and executive chairman for SinoTech Group was equally optimistic about the deal. ”We are excited about working with Qatar Airways and are looking ahead to a mutually beneficial partnership,” he said. Dr Grace Pan, chief strategy officer for SinoTech Group added: “Qatar Airways is the airline of choice for Chinese business and leisure travellers journeying to long-haul destinations.
